*FRIDAY FINANCE TIP* Let’s talk tax refunds! Now let me start by saying, you are free to spend your tax refund however you wish. BUT I want to challenge you to do something a little different this year. If your household gets a big tax refund every year and it’s gone within a matter of months on things that you do not need, or other liabilities, I’m talking to you specifically. If you find yourself spending your refund money on things like name brand shoes and clothes, electr...onics, things that your kids don’t really need, I’m talking to YOU. I want to challenge you this year to take a portion of that money and invest it into something that will yield you a return on your investment. If your credit is poor or just ok, invest money in fixing your credit. If you don’t own any Bitcoin which is the currency of the future, invest $50-$100 into Bitcoin for yourself or your children and watch it grow. If there is a business that you have really been wanting to start but don’t know how, invest in some books or classes that will teach you what you need to know to get started. If there is a product you want to sell, invest in the inventory and a website to start selling your product. If your children have a gift or talent that needs to be nurtured, invest in them! *TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY* I set a goal in 2018 to become a Master Colorist. Meaning, not only did I want to be great at coloring virgin hair, know advanced techniques, color placement, and blending but I wanted to be able to fix ANY color situation that arose in my chair. I’ve had a lot of experience with coloring various textures, blending, creating dimension and keeping the hair healthy during and after the color process. The truth is, as intentional as I’ve been with learn...ing color, there is still very much more that I can learn. I’m drawn to the challenge of it all and it is something that I’m aware not all hairstylists are capable of doing well. I’m very passionate about my journey and not really much concerned with having the master colorist label as much anymore. I just love for my work to speak for itself.
