The campus includes a new fire/EMS station, adjoining headquarters administrative facility (shown in photo) and tactical training campus on 10 acres. The tactical training area includes a burn tower, a complex of buildings simulating common structures in the community, burn props and other training features. The specialized multi-discipline design team is being led by WSKF Architects. Earlier this year Bobby ...Halton, editor in chief of Fire Engineering (a trade publication dedicated to covering the fire service) toured the project with Owasso Fire Chief David Hurst and other members of his command staff. Thanks to the North Kansas City Business Council for again doing its part to bring a good measure of holiday cheer and decorations to downtown. As part of the Council's Winter Wonderland program WSKF Architects joined many other companies and groups in sponsoring and decorating a Christmas tree. Our staff added their creativity to decorating the tree with swatches, material samples and a hardhat topper. Look for it through the holiday season in front of our NKC office at 110 Armour Road.
