CHRIST’S CONFESSION OF THE SAINTS The participation of the saints in the ages to come will commence by Jesus’ acknowledgment of them before God. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess before My Father which is in heaven (Matt 10:32). Luke records, "Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God" (Luke 12:8). The confession to the Father will include the words, And ag...Continue reading

CHRIST IS ALL IN ALL . . . but Christ is all, and in all (Col 3:11). Other versions read, but Christ is everything, and in all (DARBY), There is only Christ: He is everything and He is in everything (NJB), and Christ is all that matters, and He lives in all of us (NLT). Rather than honoring these fleshly distinctions, the Spirit affirms the cardinal principle of new life. ...Continue reading

CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY (Colossians 1:27). Great profundity is packed into these few words. Here is something that God Himself makes known. It involves glorious riches, or treasures that bring glory to both God and man. There is also a profound mystery that is opened to us, revealing marvelous and beneficial glory. Here is some...Continue reading

Lords day services have been canceled, this extreme temperature drop has made travel more dangerous and we do not want to put the brethren at risk to exposure.

CHRIST DWELLING IN YOUR HEART That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith . . . (Ephesians 3:16) How simplistic is it for Christ to dwell in your heart? Religious men speak glibly about this extraordinary gift as though it were a small thing. Some even dare to approach it academically, as though it was the result of learning disciplines. Our text informs us that we must be strengthened with power in the inner man by the Holy Spirit before this can take place. That is ...Continue reading

CALLED, CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL. "These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are CALLED, CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL." (Rev 17:14) This is heaven’s assessment of those who follow Jesus. It is NOT a statement of what they ought to be, but of what they are. This is an affirmation of identity that distinguishes the people of God from all others. CALLED... These no doubt, at some time, sought for Jesus, and eventually called upon the name of the Lord (Rom 10:13) but they are described as having been called and that is something God did. Twice believers are referred to as THE CALLED (Rom 1:6; 8:28). Twice they are said to have been CALLED to be saints (Rom 1:7; 1 Cor 1:2). They were CALLED into the fellowship of Jesus Christ (1 Cor 1:9). Six times those in Christ are referred to as those who ARE CALLED (1 Cor 1:24,26; Eph 4:1,4; Col 3:1:5; Heb 9:15). Concerning its nature, this call is a high calling (Phil 4:14), a holy calling (2 Tim 1:9), and a heavenly calling (Heb 3:1). Those in Christ are admonished to consider their calling (1 Cor 1:26), and to make it sure (2 Pet 1:10). Let no one doubt the accuracy of this description: CALLED. CHOSEN The emphasis of Scripture is not placed upon those in Christ choosing, but upon them being chosen. There is no exception to this use of the word. Rufus is described as being CHOSEN in the Lord (Rom 15:13). It is affirmed that God has CHOSEN us in Him [Christ] before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4). Again, it is affirmed God hath from the beginning CHOSEN you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth" (2 Thess 2:13). The body of Christ is described as a CHOSEN generation (1 Pet 2:9). There is no question about the appropriateness of this description of the saints CHOSEN. It may contradict some humanly conceived theology, but let God be true, and every man a liar (Rom 3:4). FAITHFUL There are no unfaithful people following Christ. God will not allow such a condition. He has required that all stewards be FAITHFUL (1 Cor 1:2), and in the end will refer to them as good and FAITHFUL servants (Matt 25:23,23). Jesus referred to one who is a good and faithful steward (Lk 12:42). Those in Christ are described as the FAITHFUL in Christ Jesus (Eph 1:1), and FAITHFUL brethren (Col 1:2). Only those who are FAITHFUL until death will receive a crown of life (Rev 2:10). Notwithstanding all contradicting theology, everyone who will dwell forever with the Lord will have been considered FAITHFUL by God Himself. At the present time, everyone who is following Christ Jesus is FAITHFUL. At the point they can be properly characterized as unfaithful, they are dropped from the ranks of the followers. Given O.
