Hey everyone at Wine Down 109 just wanted to touch base and tell you that I'm almost down to Tampa and looking forward to all the festivities! I know I'm putting out a lot of posts but if you can share them I sure would appreciate it, like our page and follow us for all the up-to-date action from the Pink Van!

Hey Wine Downers!! Nancy and her office manager Jane are headed to the Superbowl in the wedding van! Going to be marrying and renewing vows for 15 couples this weekend. Stopping along the way to perform some ceremonies. Today at the Arch in St Louis...then onto Paducah Kentucky... Nashville and Atlanta! Should be an exciting time for them. I have to say I'm a little jealous. They will also be handing out things from Independence to support our area! Thanks to Cindi and Jeff Rogers for making this all happen

Hey Wine Downers . Put us on your calendar for January 20th! That's when we opened in 2020 so it's our one year anniversary. Come and have a cocktail and just stay away from the news. We know it's Inauguration Day... a new frontier. Whatever side you're on we don't care. That's why this country is so wonderful. We don't talk politics at the Wine Down, just come listen to great music, meditate, relax and enjoy. Whatever will happen in the world will happen. Just come to our little corner and seek peace. Bring in some food, some games and sit by our fireplace and be set free..open Jan 20th at 3PM!!!

Hey Wine Downers. . Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! We will be reopening the first week of January on the 5th! So excited to see everybody back. Just wear your masks in and enjoy the best cocktails in the Kansas City area. We are open January 5th

Hey Wine Downers!! Happy Thanksgiving to the best friends and patrons in the world!! We will be back..just waiting out the huge upward spike. Hopefully will see you around Christmas if the numbers come down. We are determined to be part of the solution to this very real issue. Looking forward to a GRAND reopening when we are comfortable that all will be safe. Enjoy this holiday. It may be a little different this year..but gratitude is still our focus. We love you all!!! Good morning everyone and happy Halloween! Don't forget about our new Saturday hours and our breakfast offerings! We will be open at 10 this morning serving delicious biscuits and gravy, Mama Didas fabulous breakfast burritos, and an assortment of delicious muffins. Have a bloody mary, Mimosa, cup of coffee or one of our many juice offerings!! We've got it all. Looking forward to seeing everybody. Breakfast will be served from 10 to 1. Enjoy!!

Hey Wine Downers!! If you're out and about tomorrow the 29th between 4 and 6 stop on by. The City of Independence will be here to cut our welcome ribbon!! So excited to be a part of Independence. ESPECIALLY THE ENGLEWOOD ARTS DISTRICT!! Love being here. Stop in for a drink and say HI!! We also have delicious burritos from MAMA DIDA!! A WD109 exclusive!! Deliciousness all wrapped up in a tortilla!! Hope to see you tomorrow!!

So..while I have been "laid up" a new fall menu is being created. Pumpkin martini. Sibley cider from Buckner MO.. caramel apple martini..sam Adams octoberfest..just to name a few. Hey Wine Downers!! I finally hit the ER today..major back pain. Looks like a small spinal fracture and a big disc issue. I need some ice and rest for the next few days. No sitting or standing. Hitting the pool on Monday. We will be closed until Tuesday 10/20. Huge band on Saturday the 24th OUTSIDE!! JAM SANDWICH WILL BE HERE. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy..drink specials galore. I apologize..but will definitely make it up to all of our patrons and new friends!!
