Dear family and friends of Winchester Nursing Center, It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that we have received positive Covid results on residents at our skilled nursing facility. For the last 8 months, many of the long term care facilities in the area have had one or more positive infections. During that time, Winchester has had no infections, but with the current surge in community cases, along with community transmission, we were unable to keep the virus out. Sinc...e the first positive case, we have opened a Covid unit on one wing, designated the Covid unit it’s own staff, and hired an in house Nurse Practitioner to help oversee the care of your loved ones. Having a Nurse Practitioner on staff 8 hours a day during this crisis will allow us to make quick and decisive decisions regarding treatments and therapies to help improve patient outcomes. Please keep our residents in your prayers. We will get through this as a community. Thank you and God Bless. See more
