The Courts continue to come to our rescue. The hateful new "public charge" rule has been enjoined, which would have required people come to the US to be with their spouses, etc. to provide their credit score and they could be denied on frankly arbitrary factors such as age and education. https://www.nytimes.com//immigration-public-charge-injunct

Celebrating our 10th year as Willmoth Immigration Law!

Tomorrow, Sept. 20, 2019 we will be closing our office at 1pm for the rest of the day to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We will reopen on Monday Sept. 23 at 8:00am. Thank you very much. Spoke with some parents today who have a US citizen child over 21. There is literally no way for them to "get legal" because the waiver they need for entering the US without documents in the 1990s requires them to have either a US citizen or permanent resident spouse or parent. Hardship to their kids is irrelevant. So they have to just abandon the only country their kids have ever known, where they have bought houses, worked for decades, been active members of their community... and Church, for 10 years or else they have to stay in the shadows. This is not a just and fair system. We need real immigration reform now - we can't JUST stop building walls and imprisoning children - we also need to reform the system legislatively to have a more sane and equitable approach to complex issues. Vote for who you think can/will actually do that. Please. See more
