Our highlighted bird of the day the Standard Splash Cochin. These birds are sure to make you smile, they are filled with personality and fluff! Originated in China in the early 1800’s they were entered into the standard of perfection in 1874. Classified as an ornamental bird, their egg production is less than average. They are excellent with hatching and taking care of baby chicks. All of our Cochins at Wild Hollow Ranch are excellent with young chickens, we leave them together as long as possible. Our chicken of the day!! Meet the Buff Silkie! These little ones are fantastic as pet birds, very family friendly and easy to care for. Their eggs are small and cream color, absolutely not on the egg production list they only average about 3 eggs per week.
