Whisker Stop

As of February 7th, 2021, Whisker Stop will no longer have adoptable cats in the Rolla PetSmart. We have struggled, since March, with volunteers to clean, fosters, and navigating through a pandemic. We are, as always, grateful for all of the love and support we have received from our community, PetSmart, and our adopting families. 2020, despite the pandemic, was a good year. We helped over 150 animals find their homes and aided in getting over 200 feral cats spayed/neutere...d. We will continue with community outreach and helping pay for TNR in our local community. We will continue to have adoptable animals you can view online. We will maintain our website, PetFinder, etc. We will also continue to post our adoptable animals on Facebook as well. Stay tuned for our future endeavors. We will have some awesome kitties available soon! As kitten season is approaching, we may have some littles available too!

Katana, formerly Binks, found her forever home today! She joins brother Hank. Her mom fell in love with her and says Katana completes her family. Katana is going to be so loved and spoiled. Happy tails sweet girl!

Pretty Boy Floyd went to his forever home today! He is joining a feline sister. He is a great young man and his mom and dad love him to bits. We could not have asked for the most perfect home for this guy. He came to us not wanting human touch (not feral, just don't touch) and already loves to get pets. His mom and dad are very happy to let him learn to trust them and open up from his shell. He is going to have a great life! Happy Tails buddy!

Baby Huey and Mama Cass are available for adoption. They are patiently awaiting for their forever home. They have been with us since December 2020. They know their people are out there and hope to have their forever home soon! Baby Huey is 13 and Mama Cass is 14. They are mother and son. They must be adopted together. They have never been apart. There is a special adoption fee for these 2 lovelies. Their owner passed away. They were in the house and someone was going ...there to take care of them as she found rescue for them. The utilities had been cut off, and it was just before the cold snap. We took these beauties in. Both are overweight. Baby Huey more so than Mama Cass. They have lost weight and continue to do so. Mama has about 2 to 3 more pounds to lose and Baby has about 8 to 10 more pounds to lose. It is an easy diet. They are scheduled feedings and are fed in separate spots so they do not try to eat each others food. Both had senior bloodwork done that was fantastic! Mama Cass can be a bit nippy at times. She is not trying to hurt you, just nippy at you to let you know she is not pleased. She will nippy you and walk off in a snit. She gets over it pretty quickly. Mama will let you pick her up and love on her. Baby loves to be loved on. They both want nothing but love and affection. They would prefer a calm, quiet home. Older children would be okay. They both do love to scratch, so scratchers are a must. Baby Huey loves his back scratched. Mama Cass loves to get love. They will hang out with you and just chill. They are lovely seniors that have plenty of love to give and would love to have a family to love and live with. They both had a major, traumatic event happen to them. Their owner passing then going into rescue. Major changes for these seniors. They are both doing well with the changes. However, while they love their foster mom, they would love to have their own home to live out the rest of their lives. They will love unconditionally. Both Mama Cass and Baby Huey have all vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, are flea treated and dewormed, microchipped with lifetime registration. Harry is available for adoption! Harry is 2 years old. He was adopted from us when he was a wee kitten. His family had to move and he could not go so he is back with us. We would love to find Harry his forever home. Harry is a sweet boy that loves to get pets and lots of love. He was scared as hell when he came back to us, because he had no clue what was going on. However, he decompressed and within a 24 hour period was rubbing on legs, head butting for pets, and playing... with toys. Harry is a 15lb lover. He would not be upset if he lost a few pounds, which is easy to do! Harry has not been around other cats since his previous adoption. He could learn to be with another cat, but the introduction would most likely need to be long and slow. It was reported in his previous home he was fine with dogs - although we can not confirm this. He is a chill kinda cat. He does get along with kids just fine. Harry wants pets and love and wants to give that back. He does have a reduced adoption fee. Harry has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, is current on all vaccinations, dewormed and flea treated, neutered, and microchipped with lifetime registration. Precious loves her new home and her forever family! They love her to bits. Her sisters are getting use to the fact that they have an older sister now. We could not have asked for a better home for Precious. You would think that she has been there her entire life. <3

For the health and safety of our cats, and to reduce risk exposure to our volunteers, PetSmart associates and other potential pet parents, we are announcing a change in procedure for the meet and greets of our cats. To request a meet and greet of any of our cats, you must submit an application and have it approved. Once you have an approved application, the adoption team will set up a time/date for a meet and greet. All meet and greets take place at PetSmart Rolla at the cat adoption center. At this time, not only may you meet the cat, but you may take it home as well. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello! I'm Greycious and I am approximately 1 year old. I was pregnant and at an animal control. They asked Whisker Stop if they could help me out and off I went! I had my 8 babies, fetched them up, and now it's time to find my forever home. I have an adoption fee of $46 until November 15th!! I am a sweet and loving girl. I love pets and more pets.
