Hey friends!!! We are looking for summer donations to stock our racks before our big back to school shopping date August 12th. Our biggest need is boys T-s...hirts 12-16, men’s athletic shorts, and women’s shorts! Donations can be dropped at either Springfield location of The Wash House. ETA: Our community rocks! So much response already! We are always in need of brand new in the package socks and underwear, too! Current biggest need: Men’s XL & 2XL boxer briefs and socks in all sizes! Thank you! Thank you!

Summer reading fun is here! What are you reading?

Every year our Wildcats blow us away with their creative and competitive spirit and generosity when it comes to Penny Wars. This year, Ms. Craig's 4th grade class takes first place and wins the pumpkin trophy for the year and will get to enjoy lunch and a movie with Mrs. Carder. Hopefully, I can get a picture of the class with it and post it soon. The class brought in more than $390.00 (which also gets them a prize of a free frosty for bringing in the most money)!! On a...verage, each class brought in around $60. That's amazing! Know what else is pretty amazing? Our volunteers. In total and over a two-week period, our volunteers counted 27,686 pennies, 2,056 nickels, 2,314 dimes, 1,810 quarters, 5 dollar coins, and 900 bills. For those doing the math, that's $1,968.56! Volunteers allow the WGPTA to do what we do for our Wildcat family. Thank You! One last shout-out to our incredible sponsor, Jade Tank!! With their sponsorship we get to keep more money in our pockets to go for great things for our students and staff. Today is the final day to turn in your Reflections entries!!

This is from our PTA clothing bank. We are in desperate need of clothing. Items can be dropped off at either Wash House location in town or at the front office of Wanda Gray in the PTA clothing bank bin. Please help if you can.

The PTA Clothing Bank is in need of more clothes. If you're cleaning out closets or have a pile of clothes you been meaning to donate, now's a good time. Donations can be dropped at the Wash House behind Chipotle on S Campbell or inside the front doors of Wanda Gray. Clothes from 4T through All adult sizes accepted.

Two very important things!!!! 1. Reflections are due tomorrow. If your child wants to submit an entry, they must have a signed permission slip from their guardian. If you do not have one, there are extras in the office. 2. Penny Wars ends tomorrow. Pennies will count for DOUBLE positive points. All other money counts as it normally would.
