Congratulations to Claire Cooper Clarke of Silverthorne, Colorado and the acquisition of her first Straight Egyptian/ Al Khamsa gelding , WC Sir Habbas Alezan! ... Claire is an accomplished horse woman, avid endurance rider, and barefoot trimmer. We plan on Alezan being her next 100 mile endurance horse. She competed at Tevis in 2013, and then again alongside her daughter, Bri Clarke, as a junior rider , in 2017, where they both completed with 22 minutes to spare . Bri joined the company of a select few, where only 160 juniors have finished in 65 years! It is our hope to see Claire and Alezan in a few years representing our SE/ AK Arabians at the #TevisCup. Alezan joins Claire and her husband, Kevin, and their 2 daughters , all accomplished riders, along with their 3 other Arabs, Anglo Arab and Welsh Mountain Pony at their beautiful farm and homestead , Lima Meadows. Of course the feedback so far is everything I would expect from this wonderful boy and he has settled into his new home ( and climate ) amazingly. He trailered like a champion, switched trailers at a BUSY truck stop in Kansas - gave no shits , and faced a big snow storm ( and temp drop ) on his first night in Colorado where they had to layover . He ventured out on the trails this past weekend, ponying for the first time , and they also shared their first ride together . It is always so hard to let horses go , but makes me so happy to know they go to such deserving homes where they will be loved and appreciated. And a big thank you to all who were a part of #teamAlezan and helping shape him for his future - Melanie Dillon, Sarah Sanders and Amelia Susanne I am so excited for you ALL and to see what the future holds! Welcome this lovely Straight Egyptian colt to our registry. He has been showing successfully in the USDF DSHB classes this year. We wish him luck in the Arabian Sporthorse Nationals as he heads to Balmoral Park in early September!
