Hello Wentzville! This week's weekly wrap-up of all the calls we answered. Be careful and have a great weekend!... #WentzvillePD
Corporal Mainieri, Traffic Officer Hunt and Park Ranger Burkemper stopped by #CampWentzville today for First Responder Appreciation Day. Corporal Mainieri hosted a police officer equipment and safety talk demonstration. Traffic Officer Hunt tried to find the fastest camper by measuring their speed with his Lidar device. It’s basically a radar but it uses a laser to measure distance and speed. We had some fast runners with several kiddos at 9 and 10 mph. The six fastest in the... camp today received a special prize bag. Park Ranger Burkemper interacted with the campers and let them autograph our community outreach trailer. Even though the rain moved us inside we still had a great time with #CampWentzville at Wentzville Parks & Recreation Thank you for the invite, the special cards you colored for us and the support. #WentzvillePD #WeAreWentzville
Join us for Tip-A-Cop at the Wentzville Texas Roadhouse to raise awareness for Special Olympics Missouri Several WPD officers and Special Olympic athletes will be there next Tuesday, June 29 from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. We will also be selling Special Olympic t-shirts for $15... We are still experiencing stealing from unlocked motor vehicles and the theft of motor vehicles with keys left in them. In order to protect yourself and your car against theft, residents are reminded to lock it, don't lose it" before leaving your car in your driveway or in a parking lot. Remember the following steps to keep your car safe from thieves: Take all of your valuables before exiting your car. Don't leave keys, purses, phones, backpacks or any other valuable items... in your unattended vehicle. Hide any remaining items in your trunk or under your seats so they are not visible through your car windows. Any weapons kept in your car should be concealed in a lock box or under-seat security drawer. Lock your car doors before leaving your vehicle unattended. Never leave your car unlocked in a public parking lot or even on your property. #Wentzville #WentzvilleMo #WeAreWentzville #wentzvillepd

Some good information from our friends at the National Insurance Crime Bureau. The entire St. Charles County area has recently seen an increase in auto thefts and thefts from vehicles. Nothing puts a damper on the holiday season like being a victim of #AutoTheft. Please make sure to follow the Four Layers of Protection to protect your vehicle this December. #wentzvillepd #lockitdontloseit
Attention Wentzville residents, several residents have called to report scam callers claiming to be from the Wentzville municipal court. The scammers are stating that you have warrants for your arrest and you need to purchase gift cards and give them the numbers on the gift cards. Some scam callers have even falsely stated they are Wentzville Police Officers with specific names.... Remember, WPD or the Wentzville municipal court will not contact you and ask you to pay a fine with a gift card over the phone or threaten you with arrest. Please share this message with others, stay vigilant and be safe! #WentzvilePD
Thank you First Assembly Church of St. Peter’s for the visit, kind words and support for law enforcement tonight. The cookie baskets and thank you cards won’t last long either. Thanks again for the support and have a safe and happy holiday season.... #WentzvillePD See more
