Mrs. Cardoza's 3rd grade MVP class celebrated Grinch Day a little different this year! They had a Google Meet Grinch Scavenger Hunt and Grinch goodie bags, including green candy canes and Grinch pills ( green and red m and m's).

Friday is North Pole Movie Day! Students can wear their jammies to school (please leave blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals at home) for their visit to the North Pole Movie theater! 2nd graders will be watching The Polar Express (G). 3rd graders will be watching The Santa Clause (PG). 3rd graders need to have a PG movie permission form on file (check your student's take home folder).

Dear Families, Welcome to December!! This year has brought on a lot of challenges and changes to the day to day activities at school as we navigate school in the COVID world. At the beginning of the year we were sad as we thought we wouldn’t be able to have a Christmas program at all this year. Our Christmas Concert is a great tradition in our school. The kids look forward to performing and have a wonderful time doing so. We are SO HAPPY to announce that we will be getti...ng to do a Christmas Program this year; it is just going to look a little different. Students have been practicing their songs, solos, speaking parts and dances for songs for several weeks in music class. They will continue to practice and rehearse all the way up until performance time! Due to COVID restrictions, no parents are allowed to come to our performance, HOWEVER, we will be able to bring that performance to each of you! Students will be performing on Tuesday, December 22nd and we will be recording each performance. Then after the editing of the recording is finalized, those videos will be posted to Seesaw so all families can watch the concert. There will be 4 separate performances during the day on December 22nd. Some classes have specific things to wear for the performance while others will have costumes to put on at school. Below is a list of classes and the items they can wear for the performance: These classes need to bring a winter hat and scarf: Mrs. Shockley, Mrs. Kelsay, Miss Hill and Mrs. Fryman These classes need to wear PJs: Mrs. Vestal and Mrs. Jones These classes can bring their own antlers if they have some: Mrs. Henry, Mrs. Menzies, Mrs. Crawford and Mrs. Holmes. If students don’t have their own antlers, we have some at school for students to borrow. They will be sanitized in between performances. If your child’s class is not listed that is because they do NOT need to wear anything special for the concert. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
