The Webster County Clerk's Office would like to thank everyone for their patience, kindness, and grace yesterday. For the most part, things went very smoothly, and we are very proud of how our County showed up. We had a 79% turnout for the Nov. 3 election, with nearly 19,000 ballots cast - a record for our County. A huge shout out to Cox Ambulance Service, that volunteered four EMTs to ensure folks confined after the mail-out deadline, due to various reasons including hospit...alizations and quarantines, were able to vote. These guys traveled to every corner of the county and to the Springfield hospitals to make sure our citizens could vote in what has definitely been a unique and challenging year. Props also go to the Marshfield Post Office, which went above and beyond the past few weeks to make sure no ballot sat in waiting. Many days, postal employees made extra trips to the Clerk's Office to deliver ballot request forms and ballots that had arrived after the carriers had departed. Thank you to the other Webster County Offices that supported the Clerk's Office on what was an incredibly busy day. It was immensely appreciated. Thank you to all the election workers, it was a long day and we made it! Thank you for serving our communities with cheerful spirits. Finally, thank you to all the voters. It was our pleasure to serve you.
