The Association for African American Collegians 26.02.2021

On behalf of the AAAC 2019-2020 executive board we want to say thank you to everyone for a meaningful and influential year. With the help and support of our members, allies and faculty/staff AAAC is able to keep growing and giving back to the Black community. This wasn’t just a board of Black, educated leaders but a close group of friends that strongly advocated for Black students on campus to be seen and heard, always. Thank you to all that attended general body meetings, co...llaborative events and even our 50th Anniversary Gala. We hope these endeavors have helped you make valuable connections and long lasting memories. Thank you for an amazing year and we can’t to welcome our next inspiring board of Black leaders! Join any kind of organization- civic, religious, paternal, political or otherwise that’s based on lifting the black man up and making him master of his own community - Malcolm X

A special end of semester video from the AAAC. We wanted to share what the board has been up to during this time, and hopefully provide some ideas for our community!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!!! We’re coming close to an end with our spring semester, so we know it’s getting a little stressful! But we want you to come take a break with us and chat about the movies we’ve seen that we think you might enjoy as well. Please come and join us for for our last general body meeting of the year this Friday, April 24th. We hope to see your beautiful faces for the last time this year! (the link is in the bio!)

AAAC has decided to continue with one of our new events in a virtual way! We believe it’s important for people of color that openly identify with the LGBTQ+ community to feel that they have a voice and are supported, always. This event will address important topics and struggles that happen within and outside of the community towards people of color. Also, come hear leaders from Williams & Associates, Inc. speak on their company and how they help minorities in the community. ...If you don’t identify within the community but are a supportive ally, then we encourage you to join in to listen and respectfully engage with others to understand others points of view and personal struggles. This is a safe space for everyone that identifies with feeling open and being your true authentic self We can’t wait to see you all! Link: https://meetingsamer4.webex.com/meetingsamer4/j.php
