A good fitting bra is so very important. Here are some tips in finding just the right size for you. Do you have a favorite? If the band at the back is riding up, you’re wearing the wrong bra size. It should be horizontal around your entire body. This usually means your band size is too big and often your cup size is too small.... If the band is loose it means either your bra is old and the elastic is gone, or you need a tighter fitting band. Remember that it must be tight but also comfortable. If the band is too tight and is rubbing and digging, you need a bigger band size. Wires digging or rubbing into your rib or under your arm indicates a cup size too small. If your breast is overflowing from the cup and bulging out, your cup is too small. If your bra cup is gaping, leaving a gap between your breast and the cup itself, this generally means you are wearing a cup too big. Try sitting down when trying on a bra as this will let you see if your cup will gape. The material in between your cups should sit flat against your chest between your breasts. If it doesn’t, that indicates that your cup size is too small and your band size might change with your cup size. Shoulder straps digging into you means that either the band or the cup are too small for you. Painful back and neck issues are normally found in larger bust women. This tends to be because they are in the wrong bra size and are therefore not getting the support that their large bust needs. See more

YOU are important. YOU deserve to have your voice heard. TRAUMA is the response to a deeply distressing event that overwhelms your ability to cope. It causes feelings of helplessness, diminishes your sense of self, and shatters your sense of security. Traumatic experiences may not include physical harm. The more frightened and helpless you feel, the more likely you are to be traumatized. You’ve heard of fight and flight, but have you heard of ‘fawning’? Fawning is the ...use of people-pleasing to diffuse conflict, feel secure in relationships, and earn the approval others. There are some common traits shared by fawn types: * Feel a struggle to feel ‘seen’ by others * Don’t know how to say No * Explode with emotional overload * Feel guilty for being angry at others * Feel responsible for other’s reactions * Find yourself compromising your values * Sometimes dissociate in social situations It can be painful to constantly silence yourself while concerning yourself of the possible emotions of other people. Fawning is disempowering, it stems from pain and guilt. It’s important to remember you work very hard to offer compassion to others- this coming year start offering that same compassion to yourself. Know that our office is always a safe place to turn for help.

Dr. Janet Matuszek explaining the importance to remind close friends, family, and caretakers to check that they are up-to-date on their vaccines BEFORE your baby arrives - Specifically Tdap and Flu. The CDC recommends the pertussis (whooping cough) and flu vaccines during every pregnancy. Getting the vaccine during pregnancy allows enough time for antibodies to form and pass them on to your unborn child. Half of all infants who get whooping cough are hospitalized, it’s a respiratory infection that can cause severe coughing or trouble breathing. Create a Circle of Protection Around Your Baby!
