Hi Neighbors, Just a quick reminder that our neighborhood annual meeting is tomorrow evening, 6 pm at Rockhurst High School. Enter on the north side from State Line. Bring a side dish or dessert if you can. We'll have meat, drinks etc. There's always lots of food, so come even if you don't have time to fix something.... Dues of $20/year for 2018 are due now (the earlier they come in, the more promptly we can produce a neighborhood directory). Remember your dues pay of our various activities (picnic, holiday party, area-wide garage sale advertising, dumpster day, and snow-plowing when snow hits 3" deep). Thanks if you've already paid. Others can pay at the door. We hope to see you tomorrow.

The City is considering an ordinance that would permit and regulate short-term rentals, and in August, a planning committee recommended that it apply to R7.5 which is single-family residential. This means that in our neighborhood, there could be non-owner occupied homes rented out for 1 - 30 days thru AirBnB and other short-term rental operators. Tuesday, October 24, will be our annual dinner meeting, 6:00 pm at Rockhurst High School. En-ter by the north side doors off the parking lot. Please bring a dis...h to share, and we will provide the entrée and drinks. We will be electing Board members at the meeting. Please consider serving on the Board. It is a great experience and a wonderful way to get involved in the neighborhood. Please let Dodie, or one of the other Board members know if you are willing to consider serving. We will also consider increasing the size of our Board from five to a maximum of seven. That is small enough for good meetings but large enough to represent more of our neighbors. New and continuing Board members will vote on new officers directly after the dinner meeting is over. See more

How much does this cost? It’s FREE! However, we are accepting donations to benefit Cornerstones of Care and we'd love your help raising money. Do I need to RSVP? YES! If you plan to attend, email [email protected] to let us know how many in your group. Without your email, we can't reach you about important event updates.... Things to consider bringing: portable chair cooler of beverages money for food/donation Can I donate online? Yes! Click DONATE NOW Food Truck? We are so excited for Cajun Cabin! One of the best in the Elite Street Eats offering authentic Cajun as well as sandwiches, hot dogs and nachos. Come hungry! Parking? First come first served in our front yard and nearby side streets. You can also walk if you’re close or Uber. Will there be kids? Yes, bring your kids! Just note that this is an outdoor event with yard games and porta-potties :) Can I invite my friends? If they play well with others and are apt to donate, then they are welcome here! Just be sure they RSVP so we can keep in touch if needed.
