Why 'Waypoint'? As beer lovers, we truly believe that the unique experience of trying craft beers is a lifelong journey. By definition a Waypoint is ‘a stopping place on a journey’ - and it is our sincerest hope to be a pin in the map of your beer-ventures.

We’re back and stoked by all the love and support you’ve shown us thus far! Now we want to introduce Tyler. Tyler is also a lifelong beer lover, and has been involved in the industry since hitting the legal age (we won’t say when, a gentleman never tells his age right?). From door guy to bartender to upper management, Tyler was integral in opening a high end beer and wine bistro before moving to Chicago where he assumed the reins of a multi-million dollar operation in Wrigley...ville, adjacent to the home of the Chicago Cubs (PS - No, he's not a Cubs fan). Since 2009, Tyler has been the successful owner-operator of CrossFit Fringe in Columbia, Missouri - one of the first 500 CrossFit gyms in the world. His love of fitness and beer finally get to meet at Waypoint. Tyler is excited to add to the colorful craft beer scene that Columbia has to offer.

Hello beer lovers from all the various points on the map! Ian and Tyler here, we're the creators of Waypoint Brewing Company and this week we'd like to take a bit of time to introduce ourselves. First up is Ian! ... Ian is a beer lover and connoisseur. It has long been his dream to open his own brewery and share that love with his local community. Before finding his way to Columbia, Ian originally hails from Houston, Texas. He is a military combat veteran having led soldiers both stateside and abroad in combat operations and through multiple deployments. Since his retirement from the military, his single biggest goal has been to take his hobby of homebrewing to a larger scale and share his love of craft beer. To say he's excited to add his own flair to the mid-Missouri beer scene is an understatement!
