Another day, another burn ban. The WRFPD will not be issuing burn permits today; we are still under an elevated fire weather alert, with wind gusts up to 35mph expected. Please do *not* burn, and please be careful with cigarette butts! It's a dry, dry winter so far. Thanks!
Don't get caught off guard by severe winter weather. Even though there isn't any severe weather in the forecast for this week you should still #PrepareNow and be ready. #WRFPD #PulaskiCountyMo #winterready

It may be November but mother nature did not get the memo! The next few days will be great riding weather. #looktwicesavealife
The WRFPD is not issuing burn permits today. We are under an elevated fire weather risk alert; low humidity and warm, gusty winds make any outdoor fire a hazard. Please be aware and be cautious with cigarettes! Remember to always call your local Fire Department before burning any leaves, brush, tree limbs or other 'green' waste. 573-774-5449
This is a pretty awesome sight! And it speaks volumes about the dedication of Firefighters and First Responders everywhere. Sincere gratitude to *all* the crews who travelled across the country - or a state - to lend a hand. https://twitter.com/OCFA_PIO/status/1321946695983267840
According to the National Fire Protection Association, fires in which the smoke alarms were present but did not operate, more than two of every five (43%) of the smoke alarms had missing or disconnected batteries. #fallback #changethosebatteries #smokedetector #SmokeAlarmsSaveLives #NFPA https://www.nfpa.org//Stayin/Safety-equipment/Smoke-alarms

Some of our low-water crossings and roads that run near creeks or rivers may still be flooded after all that rain. Please remember to never drive into a flooded roadway! Even a few inches of moving water is stronger and faster than you think.

Everyone asks about our dalmatian, so we now have 2.
Did you know??? *Flooding is the deadliest severe weather hazard in Missouri. *From 2015 through 2019, 80 percent of Missouri’s flooding deaths were people who had been in vehicles. We will continue to see more rain this week. Remember to #TurnAroundDontDrown https://sema.dps.mo.gov/plan_and_prepare/flooding.php
Another widespread round of showers and thunderstorms is expected to impact the region beginning Wednesday and continuing through Thursday. With wet soil condit...ions from recent rainfall, flooding is becoming more likely, particularly in areas south of Interstate 44 where a Flood Watch has been issued. Never drive through a flooded roadway! See more
