Take a deep breath... Center yourself. This is NOT a political post, but it concerns a matter before the Congress--the next round of stimulus.... There are competing versions of stimulus. One of them includes a $55 billion in help to #saveourscreens to assist the exhibition and live performance industry. Over 70 percent of small and mid-size theaters are in danger of closing forever this winter. The issues that divide the two parties are the size of the stimulus, aid to state and local governments, removing liability for businesses, and yes, whether to help out theaters. I'm not going to highlight party names to these positions for two reasons: First, we are so polarized that we head to our tribal corners, and if we are going to heal our country, we need to focus on finding common ground on specific problems. Second, the partisan lines are getting blurred because a small group of Senators from both sides of the aisle put forth a compromise bill. There is still a Problem Solving Caucus in Washington. Small theaters are fighting hard. Unlike AMC or Regal, we do not have access to the public markets to easily get new investors (we are working on that!). Not every problem has a legislative solution. This one does. Thank you for your support. Eric Gubelman Eagle Theaters

Warrenton Cinema is closed until further notice. We hope to reopen when Hollywood opens up the movie supply, when we have secured new investors, and when the current health care crisis is eased with vaccines and improved therapeutics. We have a vision for Warrenton that will require support from investors, the city, and our loyal customers. We imagine a re-opened Entertainment Center with movies both inside and out, and amenities inside that include full food and beverage, vi...rtual reality experiences, and even axe throwing. Please follow us on Facebook where we will keep you informed. Stay safe, everyone. There are better times ahead. --Eric Gubelman, Eagle Theater Management

Sit down. This is going to be tough. It's a combination of bad news and hopeful news. Let's start with the bad.... Sunday is the last day for Warrenton Cinema. COVID has claimed another victim, and we are mothballing the theater until Hollywood starts releasing new films in abundance, until people feel more free to move about, and until we can re-invent ourselves with new concepts and new investors. Eagle Theater Management will be maintaining the Facebook page and communicating with you regularly and you can expect some emails from us. If we should reopen and Eagle Theater Management is involved in the owner group, we will honor existing gift cards. However, the only thing we can promise right now is that they are good through Sunday night. Russ and David Demien did a great thing for Warrenton and though the theater's resurgence was ambushed by a virus, I want to state on the record that it has been an honor to work with them. They took the risk and have stood by the theater through thick, and more recently, thin. Our company has put together a business plan for a post-COVID theater. We are in discussions with the City of Warrenton and with potential investors. We are working on an ambitious plan, but it is not an impossible moonshot. While no theater can survive a loss of 80 percent of revenue forever, movie going isn't over--it's just going to change. We see the movie theater of the (near) future as being an entertainment center where you can book a private show, see a movie outside or inside, enjoy great food and adult beverages, and indulge in some ax throwing, escape rooms, and virtual reality experiences. We are looking to help shape a future that is not about hanging on, but doing something very American--re-inventing. There are a few things you can do for us today. 1. Share this news. 2. If you have nice things to say to us, now would be the time. 3. See a movie this weekend. Goodbye. For a bit. --Eric Gubelman Eagle Theater Management
