I am very pleased to announce that the soft opening at Workshop #2 on Monday went very well and everyone cooperated and stayed safe! We are now going to bring another small crew into Workshop #3 and we will follow the same procedures as below. VSI will be monitoring the situation with the Covid-19 and how it impacts our community .I am pleased to announce that we are going to start bringing back our employees at Sheltered Workshop #3. Just a small group at a time on Monday Ma...y 18, 2020. Because of all of the safety requirements and training procedures it will be s very safe and slow process for all of you to return. As we can arrange transportation and prepare each shop to safely handle your return Sherry Summers will contact each of you to set a date for you to begin working at the workshops again. You cannot return until we have interviewed you and given you the proper information and personal protective equipment (PPE) you will need you to be prepared to return to your job. Everyone here on staff is very excited for you to come back but we must do it in a scheduled and orderly manner. Please be patient and we will get everyone back to work as soon as we can. VSI continues to monitor the recommendations of the Federal, State and local governments and at this time we will not be able to return to work on April 27, 2020 like we had originally hoped. We do not have a reopening date at this time. We will continue to evaluate the information from the various government entities and as soon we can determine a reopen date we will let you know.

VSI has closed the Sheltered Workshops from March 24, 2020 through April 24, 2020 for workshop employees. At this time, staff will continue to operate each building; however, the buildings will be closed to all vistors.
