Happy Hanukkah!
Today we are asked to remembering one of the most horrific days in US History, the 79th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day. Lets remember this day with humility, honor, resilience, and hope. We are humbled by the losses that America endured on this ominous day. We are honored to have the priviledge to living in this great country. We reflect on the resilienc of this country; knowing that we can do even after being hit so hard that it takes the wind out of our lungs. We picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off, and put an end to the a war whoes human costs were unlike anything this world had experienced. Today I am hopeful that we have learned from our past and can use this knoweldge to get us thru even the worst of situations. Remember we are all in this together. Thank you Veterans for your service..
We've enjoyed a really special week of reconnecting with members at three great events! On Tuesday morning, members met at Metropolitan Community College-Kansa...s City where they had an opportunity to visit with MCC trustees and hear from the school's new president Dan Hocoy. On Thursday evening, members enjoyed a breath of fresh air at Powell Gardens for Chamber After Hours. In addition to drinks and delicious food, everyone was able to walk the grounds and catch a glimpse of their new gardeners: goats! Then, we wrapped up the week with the September Membership Luncheon at Unity Village. Leading economist Chris Kuehl spoke to a sold out crowd and answered the big question on everyone's mind...where do we go from here? A special thank you to our event sponsor, Village Hospice, who gave a touching salute to veterans in attendance. We look forward to seeing everyone more as we head into fall!

This young lady is such a gift. Currently she is sharing her talents as our very own Music Therapy Intern. We have a strong music therapy program, meaning each and every patient have access to this clinical level of therapy. Also, when you realize you need to add Music Therapy to you program. Let us know. As much as love our interns we can't keep all of them.
