Today was my first day in a suit in almost two months. I am grateful I can work from home, by phone and through email. I'm grateful my kids are old enough they don't need constant attention to get their schoolwork done. And I'm grateful for the occasional client meeting that draws me back to the office.

Vanover Law took a short break this morning and planted two dozen flowering dogwood saplings from the Missouri State Forest Nursery on the creek banks behind my house. Check back with me in 3-5 years to see if I was successful in creating "Dogwood Creek."

We raised over $5,000 for the Platte County Children's Trust and enjoyed a great evening with friends and colleagues at the Christmas Party.
