Sharing this resource for you from our Productive Living Board Funding Partner of Valley Industries: IDDHelp.org was created for you whether you are an individual who needs help, a family member needing services for a loved one, or an organization seeking better ways to serve your clients. A trained Community Connector is available to listen and to help provide information on agencies in the St. Louis Region that provide services to people with Intellectual and Developmenta...l Disabilities. Anyone who has tried to locate resources for themselves or someone they care about knows that our region is fortunate to have many quality agencies and supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. What has been lacking is a centralized, coordinated system to help people not only understand the options that are available, but how to successfully access them. We want to make sure that people who need information, who need help, know where to find it. The IDDHelp.org service is: Free and confidential Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (Community Connectors: M-F 8am-5pm) Online, Email, and Phone (multi-lingual and accessible) Our IDDHelp.org team is: Trained, knowledgeable, and friendly compassionate and caring Ready to help IDDHelp.org is a partnership of the region’s Senate Bill 40 Boards (SB40s), powered by United Way 2-1-1, that is designed to help you find solutions to your needs. This partnership consists of The Productive Living Board (PLB), Developmental Disabilities Resource Board of St. Charles County (DDRB) and the St. Louis City Office for Developmental Disability Resources (DD Resources), who are all public taxing entities commonly known as an SB40 Board, that enters into funding contracts with agencies that serve individuals with developmental disabilities in their respective counties. These local SB40 Boards have teamed up with United Way 2-1-1 to leverage the existing 2-1-1 system, enhance it with in-depth disabilities-specific resources, and provide a centralized source of information regarding services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The goals of this partnership are to: Provide that one number to call and that one website to visit for solutions to needs related to intellectual and developmental disabilities Connect individuals and their families more seamlessly to resources Empower people by equipping them with information as well as the skills to advocate successfully

A lovely, eclectic display created by our incredible volunteers. This is only a sample of their creativity and dedication to detail. Keep in mind, we are always seeking more help to staff the Thrift Store. So, if you have a flair for decorating or merchandising or even special knowledge of antiques, art and collectibles, you should consider volunteering at our Thrift Store. Even if you only have a few hours a week or even only a few a month, the help is welcome. Contact Teri Wilson for more information, 314-731-1771

Last week, on December 2nd, Valley Industries celebrated Christmas in a socially distance manner, the best we could!!. We enjoyed a special lunch with Christmas decorations, and music playing. Spreading the Christmas cheer throughout the building. Valley wants to give a huge shout out and thanks to all the volunteers that decorated for us. Along with thanks to the small group that came out on Wednesday to pass out the prepared meals. The luncheon would not have been such the success it was without Jon Vogt and Catering to You!! For the delicious food that was served. THANK TO ALL AND MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
