Due to social distancing the State Finals has been moved and will be held at Oasis Lanes, Union, MO. Dates are: August 8-9; 15-16; 22-23 - squads at 11 AM and 2 PM each day

STATE FINALS are JULY 31-AUG 1-2, AUG-7-8-9, AUG 14-15-16 at Coachlite Lanes in Rolla, MO. Squads times are Friday 7PM, Saturday 10AM, 2PM, 6PM and Sunday 10AM & 2PM both weekends. THEY ADDED ANOTHER SQUAD TIME OF 6 pm ON SUNDAY FOR AUG 2ND AND AUG 9TH

The USBC Board approved waivers and modifications to USBC Playing Rules to allow certified leagues and tournaments more flexibility to return to bowling while a...dhering to local health guidelines related to COVID-19. It includes allowing certified competition to take place on one lane for the entirety of a game and the use of isopropyl alcohol to clean a ball during competition. Scenic Rivers USBC Association's Annual Meeting is Coming Up!

With much consideration, we have decided to open back up starting on Monday, May 11th from 12-5. We will be altering our hours so keep a look out on the page as we update.

Just a point of clarification: At this time, both the 2020 MOUSBC Youth Championships, scheduled to be held at Frontier Bowl in O'Fallon, and the 2020 MOUSBC P...epsi Youth Championships, scheduled to be held at Memory Lanes in Moberly, are considered POSTPONED. We have been contacted a lot recently by people who say they have heard these tournaments are cancelled. That decision has not been made, and depends a lot on how things evolve during April. If you have questions, please contact the Tournament Director, or call the state office at (573) 755-0300.

ATTENTION QUEENS AND KINGS LEAGUE! We just received a call from your president and with lack of interest from teams due to COVID, they will not be having league... this year. Here are a few options for you if you were still interested in bowling. Sunday night Doghouse (4 person teams) sanctioned league is having their meeting August 2nd. Monday night Merchants has openings (5 person teams) sanctioned league and are meeting on August 10th. Tuesday night Boss and Slave league (4 person teams) NON-SANCTIONED are meeting on August 4th. Wednesday morning WOMENS Earlybirds (3 person teams) sanctioned league has not set a meeting date yet, but has plenty of room for teams. Last but not least, women’s travel league is ON for this year. It is a sanctioned league for those wanting to get a book average. 4 person teams that bowl on the 3rd Saturday of every month. If you have any questions please give us a call. See more

To our valued customers: First of all, thank you to everyone for your support and kindness during this challenging time. Per the mandates by Franklin County, we... will be forced to temporarily close down to the public effective Thursday March 19th- April 17th. Also, effective March 19, all leagues, tournaments, reservations, scheduled to be held at Oasis Lanes have been postponed. We will be contacting all reservations over the next few days to try to reschedule those groups, or issue refunds accordingly. We will certainly reach out to all team captains, from each league once we have a clearer date on when we’ll be able to resume operations. We will then host league meetings to discuss the effect for the current league schedules. Those league bowlers that wish to get their equipment from their lockers, may do so through Wednesday night at close. This situation is clearly unprecedented and we are all adapting the best we can, so thank you for your patience and understanding. Monday, March 16, 2020 10:00 AM Good Morning. It is with great regret that we announce the indefinite postponement of ALL Missouri USBC Championship Tournament...s. Specifically, the MOUSBC Women's Championships in the KC area and the MOUSBC Open Championships in St. Louis are immediately affected. Since the limit of 50 persons gathered that extends for eight weeks puts us into the middle of May, this also includes the Youth Championships at Frontier Bowl in O'Fallon, and the Pepsi Youth Championships at Memory Lanes in Moberly, MO. The well-being and safety of all members is our priority. It is recommended that everyone continue to adhere to the guidelines for protecting vulnerable populations including hand hygiene and social distancing. We’d like to stress that we really believe this is a postponement and not a cancellation, but we don’t have any more knowledge of what will happen over the next few weeks than you do. We don’t have any details on what could happen yet in any of the specific tournaments. If you have questions, please call the MOUSBC State Office at (573) 755-0300. At this point, if you’d like a refund on any entry already paid, please contact that Tournament Director IN WRITING (email or letter, no texts). Said refunds will be processed as we can.

Friday, March 13, 2020 at 7:30 PM UPDATE: Today, things changed again. A National, Missouri state and St. Louis County State of Emergency was declared, with sp...ecific requirements. After careful consideration, we will still be having the MOUSBC Open and Women’s Championships this weekend, March 14-15. We are following the requirements in the various localities, whether it be State of Emergency or just recommendations, with regard to numbers of people gathered together. We believe that the authorities chose these specific numbers for a reason, and have built in safety margins. WE CANNOT STRESS THIS STRONGLY ENOUGH. If you are sick, please stay home. If you have folks in your group that would be susceptible to anything contagious, or are simply uncomfortable attending these events now, please stay home. Ultimately, the decision to come to the event must be made by you, the bowler. If you’d like to cancel, simply contact the Tournament Director for the specific event, and request a refund for either case. We are still reacting to things daily, as are all of you. We realize that we have customers on both sides of this issue. This was an extremely difficult choice, and we know things could change drastically by next weekend. We will post a decision on next week by Thursday, March 19, at noon.

MOUSBC Open & Women's Championships Update The past 48 hours have been unprecedented in our country. Many sporting organizations have suspended or postponed ma...jor events in an attempt to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Based on the information that we currently have, our intent is to proceed with competition this weekend. We are closely monitoring local requirements and recommendations in the host communities. This situation is volatile, and could change at any time. If you have specific questions, please contact the State Association office at (573) 755-0300. We realize that everyone has concerns, and because of that, we will reschedule if possible, or refund entry fees for anyone who chooses not to compete in either event. Please contact the specific Tournament Director for thiswe will not be able to respond to requests on social media. We have been in touch with our host centers and have been assured that the proper precautions are being taken to clean and preserve a safe space for competition.

To all that participated in the Association tournament both open and women. First of all, thank you all for coming. Second I am working on finalizing the scores, please bare with me as I have to readd all the Handicap as the system I am using did figure the handicaps wrong for many people. So I have to rewrite things by hand. For the most part it hasn't change any of the 1st place spots, yet it did change a couple of 3rd and 4th and even creating some ties. I will post the final unofficial results soon and make sure both houses (Coachlite and Salem) get a copy so everyone can look it over and make sure there is no errors. Once it has been available to everyone for a week and no one finds any errors we will make it official and print out the checks.

Make sure you get your forms for the both the open and the womens tournament association tournament sent with your full payment to Shannon at the Salem Bowling Center before the 15th to avoid paying late fees. If you have questions or concerns please send a message on here.

Don't forget that the Youth Association Tournament is going on till December 31st at Salem Bowling Center. Please make sure you call ahead and let them know when you are coming so we can have the lanes oiled and ready for you. ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION*** HOEDOWN & FRIDAY PARKING The tornado that hit Jefferson City last week has complicated things for our Showcase, but it isn't the onl...y problem we're facing on the weekend. The Hoedown (Fried Chicken Dinner) is still on, but the location has changed. Please note the new information: The Linc 1299 Lafayette Street, Rooms 115/116 Jefferson City, MO 65101 Times: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM Those who are heading to Fulton for the bowling tournament should have plenty of time if you leave by 6 PM. We will be able to handle the numbers at this event. The Missouri River is causing parking issues at Capitol Plaza, leaving very few parking spaces available for guests. The plan is below. If you arrive on Thursday anytime, or Friday before 5 PM: Parking has been arranged at Faith Lutheran Church. Faith Lutheran Church 2027 Industrial Ave. Jefferson City, MO 65109 Guests may use the lower two lots. The parking around the church is reserved for their members. When the church lot fills up, you can use the lot across the street from the church. It is a gravel lot next to the railroad tracks. Shuttle bus service will be provided by D&K-Wardsville from 7 AM to 9 AM, and from 2 PM to 7 PM. REMEMBER, THIS IS ONLY UNTIL FRIDAY AT 5:00 PM. If you arrive on Friday AFTER 5 PM, or for anyone already there: Parking is available in the state parking lots from 5 PM on Friday until 6 AM on Monday. These lots are across the street from the Capitol Plaza. Finally, if you had reservations to stay at the Best Western near the bowling center, or the Baymont Hotel, both are closed, and you'll need to search for different accommodations. Hopefully if you were booked there, they have notified you. We realize this is inconvenient, but please know that we're doing everything we can to control the situation. These are those that will be receiving checks as they did place high enough. The amounts are not shown for privacy reasons. Again congratulations to all our winners and we thank everyone for participating.

Checks have been cut and will be given to the houses to be delivered. Thank you all for participating. I will post a picture of those who did get money

Here are the final standings for both the women's and open tournament for all divisions. Sorry for the wait and thank you for your patience. I still do not know payout cutoffs or amounts yet. I will do my best to have you that information as soon as I can.

For all those wanting to know the results of the tournament. I, Shannon Chounard, am hoping to have everything entered into the system and have a final list that I will post on here by the end of today. I will not know the full information on payout amounts and cut offs until after I sit down with our association manager to go over everything. Had a good first weekend for the Association Tournament. I will post results as I can. It still isnt to late to get your team into the tournament. We do have walk in available throughout the week ( depending on lane availability) as well as a 10am squad on Saturday the 8th and a 10am and 2pm on Sunday the 9th.

Brothers reunited through bowling! It’s a story that will make your heart swell up. Dan Neil (pictured on the left) is one of our Senior League bowlers who pr...oudly wears his Marine Veteran hat everywhere. Recently he traveled to Steelville, MO to participate in the Senior Travel League. There he noticed Wally Lahm (pictured on the right) wearing a Marine Corp shirt. This is where the story gives the goosebumps. As luck would have it, Wally was filling in for someone else and didn’t typically bowl in this league. They asked one another the typical questions Veterans do. The when’s, the where’s. Dan served from 55-58 while Wally was 54-58. When they asked where each other was stationed is when things started to fall into place. They both were stationed in Kaneohe, Hawaii. They both were mechanics for Pappy Boyington’s Blacksheep VMF 214. Wally asked if he knew a guy named Wally Lahm. Dan’s eyes got big and he said that was my best friend in the Marines. Wally pointed to his chest and said I’m Wally. So then Dan asked, Do you know Dan Neil? Wally smiles and says He’s the first picture I have in my photo album! Dan says, I’m Danny! They both were discharged on the same day from San Diego and had not seen each other for 60 years! Brothers never forget... Semper Fi. See more
