Hi everyone! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to host our annual Tt Festival. Instead, we are sending out mini Tt packages! The package will include Tt snacks and goodies and three lucky people will also get a VSA t-shirt Keep in mind that we are unable to deliver packages outside of the Kansas City area, as we are delivering them ourselves. Happy weekend everyone! A Vietnamese Health Fair is taking place NEXT SATURDAY, October the 10th, 2020 at the Little Saigon Plaza. The fair will include a drive up FREE flu shots and FREE COVID-19 testings. Please see the photos below for more information. (Reminder that the event is on a first come, first serve basis!) Please wear a mask upon the health fair entry and everywhere else to keep yourself, your peers, and your loved ones safe! Thank you! ... #rooup!

Meet our Vice President! Mimi Do is a junior currently studying Biology and Chemistry at UMKC. Even though she keeps everything and everyone in line in the organization, Mimi is, however, the most ham choi out of all of us

Meet your Webmaster! Duy Nguyen is currently in her third year of majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry at UMKC. When she’s not scrolling through VSA’s various social media pages daily, Duy likes to spend her time indulging in her keychain obsession

Meet our Treasurer! Toan Vo is currently a sophomore majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Mathematics. When he’s not busy punching in numbers for our organization, Toan likes to listen to K-Pop and build on his love for the Vietnamese language!

Meet our Marketing Chair! Hannah Pham is a dual major English and French sophomore student at UMKC. Since Hannah is such a great problem solver (really, she has all the answers to our problems), she’s our organization’s right hand woman (which is only half true because she’s actually ambidextrous!)

Meet our Secretary! Shela Nguyen is currently in her third year of studying Psychology at UMKC. Besides from being the world’s loveliest secretary, Shela is also an avid lover of traveling and gaming!

Meet our Event Coordinator! An Nguyen is currently in his second year of studying Psychology at UMKC. Whenever he's not busy being our awesome event planner, An likes to travel, play sports, and volunteer!

Meet our President! Nina Nguyen is a junior currently working towards a B.S. Biology degree with a Biomedical Emphasis. Apart from her love of contributing to UMKC’s Vietnamese community, Nina also loves all things stationery!

Happy first week of the 2020 Fall Semester Roos! We hope everyone had a safe and happy first day of classes. Please be on the lookout for us within these next few weeks as we have some very exciting opportunities to see your faces in the future! (More on that coming soon.) The price at the School of Dentistry is usually half the price comparing to private practices, and on top of that, there is a 50% discount for UMKC students. This would be a great deal if you guys do not have dental insurance! Also, I speak fluent Vietnamese so if you guys have any family member that wants to communicate in Vietnamese, I would love to take them in as a patient. [ ] Hello everyone, We hope you are all staying healthy during this unprecedented time. We just want to update you guys on our fundraiser throughout this semester. Thanks to the generosity of many people at UMKC and in Kansas City region, we have successfully raised $1100 for unfortunate children in Vietnam and donated to three different areas across Vietnam. 1st location: The Orphanage at Ben Tre $250... 2nd location: Underprivileged Students at Dambri, Bao Loc $250 3rd location: Underprivileged Students at Quang Tri $600 As current leaders in VSA and learners at UMKC, we understand and believe in the importance of education. Therefore, we focus on aiding these children with their education by providing school supplies and basic necessities. We hope to motivate our future generation to continue to thrive despite their difficulties. VSA understands that this cannot be done without your silent yet meaningful support. We genuinely appreciate your effort. Go VSA!
