Plate, sheet, and tube has increased by large percentages in the past few months due to increased demand and mill shortages. Tariffs will fuel those increases. To what extent nobody knows. Prices doubled for a short period in 2008. This could be worse. A slowing demand triggered by these high prices along with stock market retreats could bring prices back from whatever high is coming.
