Problem: The customer reported that they had issues with crane elevations. The runway rail was obsolete, and the elevation issue caused the rail to crack at the splice. The rail had been emergency repaired in the past, and these sections were cracked again. The customer had stopped ...using the crane in this area and it was affecting their production. Solution: Our experienced service technicians removed the necessary rail and repaired the elevation issue. We field cut the rail, removing the cracked sections, and drilled for proper splice plates. When completed, the crane was running great with no perceptible noise from the rail splices. The customer was able to move a process back in this area to ensure smooth and productive operations.
