Pastor Howlett served over 33 years as the pastor of the True Light Missionary Baptist Church, 2838 James Cool Papa Bell Avenue, St. Louis, MO. Pastor Howlett baptized me, licensed me to preach, ordained me into the gospel ministry, installed me as pastor in my first church, the K...ing’s Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Covington, TN, in May, 1989. Pastor Howlett, along with the True Light Church also fellowshipped with me at my pastorates at Mt. Pleasant & Mt. Zion Taska churches. Those that know & remember him will testify that he was a "preacher's preacher". God be praised for the life of our beloved pastor and God bless the life & legacy of the Dr. Edward Stanley Howlett.
