Your sacrifices, service, and dedication form the bedrock of this country. We’re proud of the many Brothers who’ve served as well as those outside the craft and take today to pause and reflect on their efforts.

Woe & Sorrow fill the temple! Brethren, With heavy hearts we bring sad tidings. Rt. W. Bro. Fred J. Statler, JR. Has passed on to the Grand Lodge on High. Bro. Statler was well known and well respected by many in the Craft having served faithfully in many roles following his initiation, passing, & raising in 1966 at Florissant Lodge No. 688. Rt. W. Bro. Statler served as Master of that lodge in 1971 & following his transfer to Troy Lodge #34, served as it’s Master in 2006. ...While a member of Florissant Lodge he was also appointed as District Deputy Grand Master and served as such faithfully for several terms. His long service in the craft was noted by a 50 year pin in 2016, this was followed by a 50 year pin recognizing that length of service in the Scottish Rite as well. Bro. Statler was active in several other Masonic bodies, not the least of which was the Valley of St. Louis, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite where he served as an officer, presided over St. Louis Consistory and was recognized with the 33rd Degree in 1993. Later his involvement with the Northeast Missouri Scottish Rote Club saw him named it’s Secretary Emeritus. Bro. Fred’s dedication to Freemasonry, the Craft-at-Large, his family and his faith were true marks of a Mason and gentleman. His wise counsel, friendship, and insight were always welcome, sought and valued. With his passing, the Craft mourns and extends its deepest sympathy to his Family. As arrangements are announced we will post them. Our Brothers column is broken, his brethren mourn...

Last night was another enjoyable evening at Troy Lodge! Both St. Charles Lodge #241 & Oride of the West came, trying to capture the Traveling Trowel. In the end w. Bro. Floyd Porter and the Brothers of Pride of the West got to take it home. We finished the night off with a fantastic education and discussion led by R. W. Bro. Harrison
