The Communicator Awards is an annual competition honoring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio.

Our props dept. had some extra fun creating this custom newspaper clipping from "The 2020 Times" for our latest project. If you had to sum up 2020 in one headline, what would it be?

Did you know that in addition to commercials we also film talk shows, events, and documentaries? You name it, we can film it!

It's been 6 years since we made this thing official. Our actual anniversary was Friday and we were grateful to spend the day with innovative clients, masterful talent, and our intrepid crew. The little seed we planted all those years ago sure has grown, and we look forward to continuing to grow and help others do the same. If 2020 couldn't stop us, what can?

It has always been our goal to create films that grow audiences. For some clients that might look like reaching more people with a social media campaign, but for St. Louis arts organizations it has quite literally meant attracting larger audiences to their live performances. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been possible this year. We were filming The Big Muddy Dance Company’s annual gala film the day the first set of Covid-19 restrictions were announced. When the last spotlight we...nt dark and we closed the stage door behind us, that theatre wouldn’t open again for months. Shows were canceled, rescheduled, and canceled again. With so much uncertainty the world turned to virtual. Cue zoom fatigue. Watching your favorite performers from home seemed like a great way to continue to enjoy and support the arts, but the charm and excitement of the in-person experience was missing. That’s why when The Big Muddy Dance Company asked if we’d film their virtual performance of Lemp Legends we jumped at the opportunity to create something different. We wanted to create a virtual performance where the audience still felt present. Performed at the Lemp Mansion, it was already so much more than a typical stage show. With some creativity from both camera crew and dancers we were able to provide a fresh experience and continue to safely grow their audience beyond St. Louis. Lauren Warnecke of Arts Intercept said I keep looking for examples of dance on film that feel like a palatable replacement for watching dance live. With few exceptions, Lemp Legends provides the strongest evidence thus far that good dance is possible (enjoyable, even) in a pandemic. But that might not have been the case if, like so many others, they’d taken the filmmaking part less seriously. We’re continuing to look for new and creative ways to grow audiences via an online stage. If you’re interested in bringing life to your virtual performance reach out today!

#7daysofgratitude We're grateful for the opportunity to support the arts in St. Louis. It's been a rough year for performers, and all the talent behind the scenes that bring a show to life. Last week we helped The Big Muddy Dance Company bring "Lemp Legends" to a virtual stage because the show must go on! Tickets are still available if you'd like to support these incredible dancers from the comfort of your home!

We've been documenting the creative process behind this performance, and so excited to be a part of the virtual launch!

Back in 2015 we got a sneak peak of The Big Muddy's show during their rehearsal. This year they're celebrating their 10th Anniversary, and while their in-person festivities have been postponed they're continuing to do amazing things virtually!

It’s been amazing watching everyone adapt and pivot this year. In the midst of this crisis we’ve seen business owners, artists, and leaders step up, take action, and get creative. We’ve done the same. We implemented enhanced safety protocols and our multi-disciplined crew has been able to keep our footprint on location small without sacrificing quality. We’ve re-imagined all the ways we film and committed to continuing to create safely and effectively. This year we helped lon...g-standing St. Louis events transition to virtual and created programming and video content to help local schools, businesses, and non-profits reach their audiences at home. We safely filmed television commercials, capital campaign films, and virtual programs proving that there are no limits when you’re willing to get creative. Back in 2016 we had the privilege of spending a few days filming at Logan University. They have one of the most beautiful campuses we've ever seen, and we can't say enough good things about their graduates! Since 1935, Logan has remained grounded in chiropractic education, while continuously enriching academic options with degree offerings in health sciences.

We ran out of Cowboy Chicken's hot sauce, so it's officially a state of emergency over here.

Here's to our healthcare workers. We've been privileged to capture just a small portion of all that you do. As we all work to flatten the curve, we know it's you on the front lines continuing to protect our most vulnerable. Thank you.
