Traveling Turkeys

Merry Christmas! All 300 senior gifts have been delivered.

We received a call late this afternoon from a nursing home who was struggling to provide gifts to their residents. They care and wanted to do something but didn’t have the funds. They had heard about our Adopt-A-Senior program and wanted to know if we could help. We got the notification about 2:00pm today. They want to present gifts tomorrow at 2:30, hmmm, ok! It just so happened that we received over 300 socks and cards. Our need this year was just over 200 for the 3 nursing... homes we generally provide for. We contemplated what to do with extra, put double in some gifts, give to another preferred organization or save until next year. Welp, as He has done time and time again God used us to fill a need. We have just enough to provide for every single resident of the nursing home. A little rushing tonight to add some candy, chips and an air freshener and we will have them ready to deliver! Another fun project tonight! The kids at Broadmoor Elementary School - USD 416 had a collection project for Socks for Seniors to help us with our Adopt-A-Senior project. They collected over 350 pairs of socks which will help provide presents for 3 nursing and long term living facilities! Those kids are amazing! Sara McIntire
