#TranSystems' Hemphill-Lamar Connector project in Fort Worth, Texas won an ACEC National (ACEC) EEA 2021 Grand Award. This project significantly connects the Ft. Worth Central Business District to the Near Southside District fostering the development of the community.

For this #WhatWeDoWednesday, where we share TranSystems projects from across the U.S., #TranSystems is excited to be lead designer, along with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, of the 126 year-old State/Lake Elevated train station in downtown Chicago. As a major hub for transportation throughout the city of Chicago, the proposed redesign will greatly improve the passenger experience for all. Widened sidewalks below the station allow for safer pedestrian traffic, a glass overhead st...ructure above the station protects passengers on the train platform from snow and rain, and new points of access, including ADA accessible elevators, support passengers entering the station. Today is #WhatWeDoWednesday, where we share #TranSystems projects from all across the US. Today’s project is the Design/Build project, Turner Diagonal Interchange located in Kansas City, Kansas. This project used a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) to create a safer roadway and allow for smoother traffic for the near 65,000 vehicles it services each day. It reconfigured the roads to create opportunity for more economic development for the nearby towns. It also made pedestrian and bicycle access safer than before.
