As 2020 is coming to a close, we wanted to remind everyone of the economic incentive for charitable giving under the CARES Act. You can receive up to $300 in tax deductions without having to itemize your taxes. If you are able to support your local nonprofits, we encourage you to do so before the year is up. The planned bike, walk, and bus stop improvement project on Tucker Blvd. is one step closer to federal funding. This week the East-West Gateway Council of Governments staff recommended that a City of St. Louis Government application for construction funding to build a two-way protected bike lane as well as other improvements. The rail lines south of downtown are a major barrier for people on bike and on foot in the region. This project is aimed to create safer connection acr...oss the rail yard, while also improving ADA and bus rider access. This project is sponsored by the City and grew out of Trailnet's Connecting St. Louis plan. This step is a promising sign for final approval of these funds by the EWG board later this year.
