2021 Nebraska Kart Shootout Results This weekend might have been one of the most collectively impressive and rewarding weekends I've been a part of. Dominant. This is a collaborative effort between Trackside Motorsports and Krug Green/Jody's Kart Shop. I had the privilege to race and learn from Jody himself and without that period of time in my racing career a weekend like this just wouldn't have been possible. Getting to work with the Krugs and help Jacob cap off his 2021 wi...th 2 huges wins on Sunday was fulfilling. Jordan has spent the last few years developing his own prep program and getting to communicate ideas and results with him has made each team stronger. Haidyn Hansen going nearly perfect in jr1 is something I never take lightly. JW Ray might have had the fastest kart I've ever seen in jr1, the little man is going to be a force in coming months and years. Tylar Alton continues to learn, gain confidence and experience and its not going to be long before one of those dominant weekends performances is all him. Daniel Ochs, does what he does. Consistently, consistent and the rock of our program always up front, always there when it matters. Really can't sum it up better than this. For the 3rd consecutive year Haidyn finished 2nd in the MAXX Daddy. I'm super proud of each one of those 2nd place finishes. Every year she gets a little better, a little stronger and a little closer. It's the work this little girl puts in behind the scenes that is the most impressive but doesnt go unnoticed. Work ethic and mental toughness are hard to cultivate at a young age. Haidyn sets the bar the really high for the whole Trackside team. You add Danno Ochs in the mix as crew chief/mentor for the 319 machine and they've proven to be a force everywhere. Well done Haidyn, keep your head up. We'll be back.

The best part of a long drive home is the quiet time. Time to reflect, time to assess, time to be grateful. So, with any situation win or lose I try to ask myself two questions. What will I remember most and what can be learned from the experience? Its Cam's second consecutive MaxxDaddy title, that's pretty cool. Its a neat trophy, banner, and coveted orange jacket. Those are amazing things that represent a great accomplishment. Last year was really special. The first one is... always sweet. This year things were different, much more difficult and not nearly as polished but through adversity comes growth. We are defined by the challenging moments in life... I think the way I will remember this one is simple. He didn't quit. He never for a second lost focus, and he executed when it mattered most. Years from now when the trophies are covered in dust and the jackets no longer fit it will be the memories and life lessons racing gives us that will carry the most worth. Im honored to get to mentor such a great young man. Thank you Maxxis Racing for putting on a successful event, Jake Alton and the Cedar Lake crew for preparing the fastest track in the Midwest (Ya, its indoors too), and lastly the entire Team Trackside family for your continued support, your relentless drive, and truly living out our teams values.
