In an effort to accommodate licensed professional counselors who are splitting their practices between Telehealth and face-to-face therapy sessions, Touchstone Counseling has a turn-key part-time fully furnished office available immediately (Mondays and/or Fridays). Potential for greater availability in December 2021. Included in the rental cost are two full-time office professionals to greet in-person clients; answer phones, scheduling; marketing; billing; utilities included; complimentary water and coffee bar for clients; Theranest software program; Psychology Today; custom security system; and the potential to supervise. Touchstone celebrated not one, not two, but THREE events today at Ocean Zen. We celebrated BOTH Laura and Dr. Beatty’s birthdays as they are two days apart, today for Laura and Sunday for Dr. Beatty. We also celebrated the end of 2020 with our annual Christmas Party. Lunch was amazing and we all had such a fun time. We were sad to be missing a few members of the family, but we were thankful to get together for a socially distant lunch. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays to everyone. We are so thankful that, although the year did not go as expected for many, we got through it together. We can’t wait to see what 2021 has in store for all of us

Touchstone would love to congratulate Jo Ellen Strode and Tara Williams on their graduation from Missouri State University! We are so proud to have worked with these two therapists this last semester. Jo Ellen will remain at Touchstone as a PLPC and is accepting new clients. We are excited to watch both new therapists change lives in our community!

Hello everyone! It has been a remarkably busy holiday season and we are so excited to introduce our newest addition, Maribeth! Maribeth Primm, MS, LPC, has recently joined Touchstone Counseling and specializes in EMDR therapy. She graduated from Missouri State University in 2012 and was trained in EMDR therapy in 2016, including advanced EMDR training for working with addictions. She has... worked in the field of human services for the majority of her life. Maribeth’s philosophy is one of wellness rather than sickness. She believes that we are all born as divine lights of the universe, but that through the course of our lives, we are given messages through the words or acts of others, or sometimes even ourselves, that impact how we see ourselves and the world. Her style of therapy focuses on helping people change those messages to reflect the true nature of each of us - one of wholeness. Therapy is the act of holding space for someone as they journey towards their awakening. Maribeth works with adults experiencing any issue in their lives that is causing them distress. EMDR is her primary therapeutic technique and she has used this with a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, addictions, religious trauma, and loss. She also has over three decades of experience in addiction recovery and is an avid practitioner of meditation. Maribeth is not currently accepting insurance. Her self pay rate is $110 per session.
