Have you had your spicy Toppers stewed with cacuzza squash yet?
Mrs Totta’s Cacuzzi Recipe 1 med cacuzzi squash (peeled, deseeded and cut in bite size chunks (yield 3-5 cups) 1 lb ground beef... 1 lb Italian Sausage bulk (spicy or mild per preference) 1 Tab Olive oil 1 med onion minced 3 cloves garlic minced 1 cup carrots chopped 1 cup celery chopped 1 cup potatoes chopped 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning 1 tsp salt 1/4 teas pepper 1/2 grated Parmesan cheese 1 cup fresh basil chopped 3 cups chicken or beef broth 1 can petite diced tomatoes Put Olive oil in large pot and add onion & garlic to sauté a few minutes till transparent. Add ground beef & sausage to pot and continue to cook and chop up meat to crumble over med heat to brown. If excessive grease you can drain and then add the rest of ingredients and bring to a boil, then turn down to simmer with lid 2-3 hours. Check while simmering to stir and taste for additional spice or salt & pepper needed. Enjoy!
