Lead Star empowers leaders at every level to reach their true potential. In the early 2000s, TOKY designed the firm’s original logo. Nearly two decades later, leaders around the world turn to Lead Star for real-world wisdom, connection, and insight. Founders Angie Morgan and Courtney Lynch asked TOKY to revisit the brand to reflect the firm that Lead Star is today. Take a look at the full branding process, from research and messaging to a new visual brand and website at https://toky.com/portfolio/lead-star

Back in October, Edera Italian Eatery opened its doors in St. Louis’ Central West End, bringing friendly Italian fare with expert guidance from consulting chef Mike Randolph, formerly of local favorites Good Pie and Randolfi’s. Italian for ivy, the Edera name was inspired by the iconic ivy-covered walls surrounding the restaurant’s outdoor dining space. Much like the food, the Edera brand strikes a balance between upscale and approachable, combining traditional Italian typog...raphy with modern stencil lettering. The playful E takes many shapes, from the noodle wrapped around a fork to the namesake ivy and the twist atop a refreshing cocktail. Check them out for curbside pickup at ederastl.com.
Coming in hot with our third AIGA Saint Louis Design Show feature: Firecracker Pizza & Beer hot sauce packaging! This fiery collection was designed to bring the same punch as the award-winning Firecracker brand. Bottles for the three sauces Dos Chiles, Pizza Blast, and Mango Bango bring enough attitude to stand out among the restaurant’s infamous assortment of hot sauces.
Next up in our series of AIGA Saint Louis Design Show features: RiverVest. A leading venture capital firm, RiverVest builds life science companies to address significant unmet medical needs. The new identity merges RiverVest’s expert guidance with the flow of life science innovation. Across materials, lines from the mark stream into a dynamic pattern that pairs with a friendly, elevated gradient.
This year’s AIGA Saint Louis Design Show went digital, and we were delighted to see three recent TOKY projects featured on the virtual gallery walls. Big congrats to our clients first up, Winslow's Table! The sister restaurant to critically acclaimed Vicia, Winslow’s Table in University City is the second restaurant from Michael and Tara Gallina. As Tara described to St. Louis Magazine in 2019, This is a more casual space; the vibe is definitely less fine dining, more re...laxed, and more of a daily spot. The brand is designed to reflect that cozy neighborhood ambiance with elements of fabric stitching and lighthearted typography.
