Up and coming..... wait for it...
Everyone see's what some others and myself do and assume that Liliane Soto is just a pretty face. While she is beautiful, she's also extremely talented. She ran this wall start to finish. She is amazing.
The Reverie and Progress. Two new dining establishments here in Springfield Missouri. The walls are reclaimed wood. The amazing block entry wall was done by Lily Soto. The triangle ceiling's, well... I don't care if I don't see another triangle for a while.
So (Finally!) is Mettemeyer Engineering. Feel like it went pretty well, we had alot of new people. Good job to learn on. They went with a Horizontal grain. Notice the funky tall cabinets with the built in bookcase on the side! Hope they enjoy it as much as I have building it!
So this is Mettemeyer / CJD Engineering reception desks. They were a.... chore. The wood is all 8/4 Walnut (of distinction, or with character...). I made some poor choices in fabrication and had to rework the 10' and a little on the eight. The biggest issue was the humidity causing the finish to blush (looks hazy / kinda milky), which means it had to be sanded down to bare wood - four times. yeah.... made for a long day or two. The fixture is wrapped in Chemetal (Ember aluminum), which is another sob story in itself. I'll try and post the offices later
Maria Cass Home. Maria is a designer with Atriium Hospitality and asked if we could do her home. She went with American Walnut, naturally finished with Wilsonarts "Grey Beola" solid surface. You always have the issue with the fridge upper - to tall and deep to really utilize efficiently. Maria made it her cookie sheet storage! We fabricated her Barn door for her pantry and laminaed marker / magnetic laminate over the door. Really enjoyed this one.
Valances. This has been a staple with us for years. While it seems to be pretty easy work - well it's not. As you can see in the picture - the valances are too long to fit in the elevator but you still need to get them to the 14th floor. Once you have accomplished this, then the work begins, cutting, attaching, touch up painting and caulking. Usually pretty much non stop for two months or so. And yes - that is Luc Desjardins in the picture. He is accomplished at cussing you out as he is putting up valances! Bwahahaha
Meridan Animal Hospitol, Meridan CT. Bridget Stollings, Lily's niece, works here and they were looking to do a remodel and Bridget hooked us up. The family, Lilys, jumped in andhelped with the install and with the other work as well. I mustt ake a second and apolagize to Bridget for not getting these up sooner... I told her I never recieved pictures. I lied. I apolagize. On facebook.
Du-Opt theatre. Or as they opened - Skylight Cinema in Bentonville AR. Thiswas a trying job for us. It ran late so we ended up starting late - with a full schedule already! We had to go back and deal qith some quality issues but at he end of the day I feel it came out pretty nice.
Communal Tables. This was the year for them! One to Branson, two to Loveland CO, four ro Rogers AR and one to Allen TX.
Nielsen Home in Bentonville AR. Felt like this came together pretty nice. Nathan Forst with Red 5 Construction was the contractor. The owner loved the grey color!
Allen Texas Refresh. We originally did this project seven, eight years ago. Hard to believe it's refresh time!
