The first in our CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT series goes to Favazza’s on the Hill. This St. Louis staple was established in 1978 and serves some of the best Italian/American food around. In fact, they were included in St. Louis Magazine’s A-List of the region’s finest restaurants in 2019! Favazza’s is family owned and operated by Tony Favazza and his brother, John. Tony believes it’s the people that make a business great and credits Favazza’s success to their numerous faithful, regula...r customers who continued eating delicious meals at Favazza’s even through the depths of the ongoing pandemic. FAVAZZA’S IS OPEN for dine-in and curbside and they are taking all precautions to keep their customers safe. They are currently serving family-style daily specials for families of 4 like 8-piece cannelloni, spaghetti & meatballs and chicken parmigiano. ASSOCIATE SPOTLIGHT Meet Austin Marvel, Tipton Linen’s District Manager for the Southeast Missouri area. Austin has been servicing our customers for 2 years now and has been in the district manager role for most of that time. He leads a team of four route service representatives in making sure our SEMO customers have everything they need from us. Austin brought a strong customer service background to Tipton and loves working with our customers to solve their challenges. W...e appreciate Austin’s high energy approach, which makes him a natural fit for the work we do and gives him the ability to build solid relationships with those we serve. Throughout his time at Tipton, Austin says he’s gained a better understanding for teamwork in an environment where it takes each individual team member’s hard work to bring about a good result. He says he enjoys the family-like environment he’s found here at Tipton and thrives because he feels at home. Austin was born and raised in Cape Girardeau and continues to live here with his family. In his free time, he exercises to stay healthy and spends quality time with his long-time girlfriend and 3 kids. Keep doing your thing, Austin!

Be part of a growing small business focused on teamwork and collaboration What You Will Do The ideal candidate for this position will need to be able to be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks that may include: Receiving and sorting laundry Inspecting garment/coverall for all mentding needs Operating equipment such as dryers and ironers Bundling clean garments to be re-distributed to our customers Essential Functions: Grasp textiles from a cart/bin then sort, inspect and grade according to quality standards. Fold, assemble and package by hand different types and sizes of textiles Feed different types and sizes of textiles into ironers or folding machines Place finished product onto conveyors or into carts, dump slings of product onto work tables Move loaded or empty carts/bins within the production area Process textiles according to type and written packing instructions Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position. Follow instructions as directed by supervision Keep work area neat and clean Qualifications: Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately Recognize, inspect and grade product Comprehend and follow written packing instructions Comprehend and follow direction Typical Physical Activity: Physical demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting up to 25 pounds and stooping. Physical requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift. Typical Environmental Conditions: Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint and dust. Education Requirements: None Job Type: Part time (20-30 hours/week) Pay: $10.30/hour
