Here is a walleye reproduction. What a great way to practice catch and release, while at the same time memorializing your catch for eternity. It's also a great way of getting your personal best mounted, even if the fish is nothing but a memory.

How can an animal have such cool colors, and be so homely? This Blesbok seems to fit that description.

Catalina goat we just finished recently. I like the long beard on this one.

The colors on a Blue Wildebeest are just so cool! Too bad they have a face only a mother could love. lol

Gemsbok Oryx are so beautiful with their striking contrast. Sometimes you hate to see mounts this pretty go out the door.

It's turkey season!!! If you are wanting to drop off for the next few weeks you will need to make an appointment. I plan on doing some hunting, so leave me a message or shoot me a text. Thanks, and good luck!

This big Alaskan black bear was delivered recently. Who else prefers the look of a nice shoulder mount over a bear rug? I can’t be the only one.

This was the 3rd and largest of the wolf trio we finished in the shop recently. It was a fun project, and I look forward to doing more in the near future. Now back to the bobcats...

Big ol’ brownie reproduction went out the door last week. I’ll be seeing spots for a while.

Here is the 2nd of 3 wolves we just finished up. Loved the color on this one. Everyone in the shop got their hands dirty on this project. Really cool animals, but lots of work.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Here 1/3 of a really cool project I got to work on. This is the first of 3 Alaskan wolves we just put together here in the shop. They all turned out great, and I’ll post pics of the others over the next couple days as I complete the finish work on them. Amazing animals, and pics don’t do justice to the size of these canines.

Good luck to the youth hunters and bow hunters out this weekend. Should be a great one! Thought I'd share this amazing bowkill from last year harvested by Steven McBee. I would be happy to remove what is needed for a mount, just bring the entire deer here to the shop. This ensures a proper caping job, and a higher quality mount in the end. You don't have to, you can cape it yourself, but it doesn't cost any more to have me do it while you wait. Good Luck Everyone!!!!

We are pretty well known for our cats...but maybe not this kind of cat. This Flathead weighed in at 70lbs, so the pic really doesn't do a good job showing just how big this thing is. Fun project, but lots of work.

Heck of a whitetail recently finished. Absolute stud.

Hunting has been tough out west so far this year. Fires and heat have been a terrible combo when it comes to killing elk. Here is a cool piece that just got picked up. Elk pedestals are so cool...if you have the room for one.

This was a really unique project. Not often I get to work on color phased bobcats.

Here's a really pretty bull that went out the door last week. Putting the finishing touches on the last couple bulls from last season now. Moving on to more big stuff, so I'm happy to have the extra room in the new shop. Not sure how we'd have done it in the old one.

Timberland Taxidermy 13.09.2020

Starting to finish up last year’s elk. They are taking up all the room I thought I had in the new shop. They are super pretty to look at though. This bull was a public ground bull shot by Adam Anderson last season. Good luck to everyone headed west in the next few weeks.

This was a special bird for me to work on because it belongs to my daughter Libby. We had a great hunt this spring, and the bird she shot was in excellent shape so I decided to mount it for a competition. It did really well winning best of categories at both shows I took it to. She was excited to see it done, and I really enjoyed putting it together for her.

My cell phone doesn’t take the best pics, but here’s something just a bit different ready to go hone.

Timberland Taxidermy 29.07.2020

It's been too long since I've posted any work. We have been extremely busy in the shop lately.

I wanted to take a minute to thank Old Barn Taxidermy for sponsoring such a special award, and thank my peers for giving it to me. I have a few awards that I deem extra special, and this mentorship award is definitely one of those. I wouldn’t be where I am today as a taxidermist if it wasn’t for the Missouri Taxidermy Association and the members I’ve met that have helped me along the way. While I’m no where near as knowledgeable as many who’ve helped me, I’m happy to share what I know. Thank you again to everyone that wrote my name down, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s show.

Timberland Taxidermy has a new address! I am still moving stuff daily and have a LOT left to move, but all drop off and pick ups are now here at my new shop. I was forced to lay my 2 employees off for a bit due to Covid-19, I’ve been working on finishing the new shop and moving stuff in, and also had a knee surgery, and recovery has been slower than anticipated. It’s a perfect storm for getting even further behind on my work, but I’ll keep grinding. Thank you to my clients for being patient.
