Howard Richards, color analyst for Mizzou Football on Learfield Sports, visited via Zoom with the KC Tiger Club on Tuesday, November 10. Howard played offensive tackle at Mizzou from 1977-80 before becoming a first-round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys. After football, he had a 13-year career as a special agent with the CIA. A good friend of the Tiger Club joined us on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Kansas City Star reporter Blair Kerkhoff joined us from the Star building, from which he also had to watch the Chiefs game Monday night because of COVID-19 restrictions. On the 30th anniversary of the infamous 5th Down Game, Kerkhoff reminisced about that game against Colorado, the Mizzou game vs Tennessee last weekend, the outlook for the football Tigers having named Connor Bazelak as the starting QB, and... other thoughts on local sports. During the pandemic, the Club is meeting via Zoom each Tuesday at Noon with a special guest speaker. Mizzou alum Dennis Dodd, national college football writer for CBS Sports, shared his feedback after attending the Mizzou vs Alabama football game last Saturday in Columbia.
