Did you know that November 11th commemorates the end of World War 1? When it was first instated, the federal holiday on November 11th was originally called Armistice Day. "To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy w...ith peace and justice in the councils of the nations" President Wilson In the resolution passed in 1926 regarding November 11th it states: Whereas it is fitting that the recurring anniversary of this date (11/11) should be commemorated with thanksgiving and prayer and exercises designed to perpetuate peace through good will and mutual understanding between nations; After World War 2, in honor of the greatest mobilization of armed forces in our history, Armistice Day was renamed Veteran's Day. A day to honor American soldiers of all wars. So today, let's honor Veteran's with thanksgiving and prayer. And, remembering that our freedom is because of their sacrifice, let's perpetuate peace through the love of Jesus. Thank you veterans.

Sunday, we had a great message Danna Batten! She talked a lot about prayer. "Instead of saying all we can do is pray, we should be saying all we need to do is pray." This week we're sharing First Love , a song for your person prayer time.

Yesterday, Pastor Barry encouraged us to approach voting prayerfully, intelligently, humbly, biblically. Tomorrow is big day! We invite you to join us TONIGHT at 6 PM as we pray over tomorrow's election.
