GARLIC SCAPES! These fleeting treats are the premature flower head that hardneck garlic creates. If allowed to flower, seeds are able to be collected(and eaten!), or left to potentially reseed themselves the next year. They first grow straight, but when they coil, it's time to harvest! This year I made a pesto... Next year I'll be pickling them See more

Here is a small portable setup for someone in a new place, who's not quite sure where a permanent spot would be best. Complete with organic soil and slow release fertilizer, in a months time they'll be harvesting!

Good morning! If you're like me you may like to wander the aisles of gardens shops, but may quickly be overwhelmed. "Should I really be using all this..?" Answer: No. Gardening can be as simple or as complex as you'd like it to be!... There is one tool I stand by however, and that's the rain gauge! During hot months its critical that plants maintain their preferred amount of water. For instance tomatoes prefer 1" of water a week. Trying to hunt down reports of each rain to see how much your area got can be daunting. And without proper knowledge of how much came down, you may even overwater! I know I used to. Overwatering causes shallow roots and opens doors to disease. Not to mention it becomes costly They're a wonderful tool, especially when comparing the knowledge it provides vs. price!(this one was $10) I hope this helps! And as always, Strive to THIRVE!

An astounding many thanks to everyone who's ordered from me! My heart is full, and so will be our gardens! Orders will begin being distributed this weekend, and on. Being fulfilled in the order they were received.... If you would like the pleasant company of plant friends, there's still time! And if you don't know where to start I'm happy to help. Thank you once again And as always, Strive to THRIVE!

Strawberries! They're one of my favorite things spring has to bring! They are perennials in our USDA hardiness zone(5b) and self-pollinating! Can be grown as an edible groundcover, garden boarder, and even in pots! My current variety is called Ozark Beauty, an everbearer, meaning with the right environment I get strawberries from early spring to first frost! However, with such sweet production there's a tradeoff; they're not as sweet as June-bearing strawberries, which I'm s...ure you can guess, only have berries in mid-summer. Another trade off is that everbearers don't produce as many 'runners' as June-bearers. Which is important to note if you are growing with the intent of a patch! My plan is to inter plant a June-bearer variety so then I'll have enough to share Thanks for reading! Strive to Thrive!
