Repost @jacyshaw The 3 Basics to Tracking Macros. I've realized some people automatically feel overwhelmed when they hear talk of macros.... It's actually super simple AND a sustainable way to develop healthier eating habits including a healthier relationship with food. Here are the top three things you need to know and do. 1. Determine your daily totals: * First calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) then you can break your calories into your macronutrients by grams (the recommendation for each macro is completely individualized, you can easily search for best breakdown that ACCURATELY matches your lifestyle) 2. Read nutrition labels OR Google search for whole foods w/o labels and find items that will fit into your daily totals * All you have to locate on labels are PROTEIN, CARBS, FAT, & FIBER 3. Track all food/drinks in app for easy calculation. Try to end the day as close to your macro goals as possible. * MyFitnessPal or My Macros Plus are user friendly options, just ALWAYS double check that the info is correct! Voila! Once you know how to start and what to look for on a nutrition label the overwhelm dissipates quickly. #Repost @twardowski_fitness Booty Booty Booty ... Ever try a vertical hip thrust?! I recommend using a belt squat for it HOWEVER!! You can also use a thick ass resistance band attached, but be sure you can position yourself somewhere you can hold on. Utilize heavier weight BUT focus on the hip relaxing backwards, and the then driving them FORWARDS. Keep your shoulders and upper back rounded and head looking down.
