The 13th annual Thomure Lumber /Sullivan Project graduation Big Buck Contest has come to an end. 1st place overall with a massive 194 6/8" gross score with a bow is Jarid Clark 1st place archery with an awesome buck gross scoring 159 4/8" is Kurtis Reed... 1st place Rifle gross scored an outstanding 165 3/8" harvested by Don Schaefer Thank you to all who participated in this fund raiser for the Sullivan Seniors. We are looking for a self motivated outside sales person who is able read blue prints and make material lists from them. This position would consist of making sales calls and meeting with home owners and contractors alike. 3+ years of previous building material and blue print reading knowledge is a must. This will be a commission based position with a benefit package.

Coming in OVERALL winner with an ARCHERY harvest gross score of a massive 179 6/8" is Nic Mathews winning a .17 HMR rifle 1st place Archery goes to Kyle Hulsey with a gross score of 165 3/8" For his harvest, he wins a 16' ladder stand... 1st place Rifle is Mallory Shetley with an overall gross score of 164 3/8" Thank you to everyone who participated yet again to help the local 4-H students with this scholarship. We would also like to thank Woody Schlottach of White Mule winery and Denny Magruder for beins generous enought to donate their money from the 50/50 drawing back towards the scholarship fund!!!! Well, entry into the 12th annual Thomure Lumber 4-H scholarship has ended. The 50/50 drawing netted $1050.00 going towards scholarship(s). A very huge THANK YOU goes out to the 1st place and 2nd place winners of the 50/50 drawing who donated their winnings back toward the scholarship. They are Denny Magruder who donated back his $282.00 for 1st place in the drawing. Woody Schlottach's name was drawn in 2nd place and he gladly donated back his winnings of $188.00 toward the scholarship fund. If you know or see either one of these 2 outstanding individuals please thank them for their generosity!!!!!

Tomorrow, July 27, my Phil would be 37 years old. In those years he tried to live a life he thought would be useful an reflect his love of Christ Our Savior. ...I think he did a great job of it. I know there are so many of us suffering from so many loses. I am challenging our community to make something beautiful of these many different kinds of loses. Set off a helium balloon tomorrow about 7 in the evening to catch the sun's last rays and join the stars in the sky. Inside put a piece of paper or card with the symbol against what caused your pain, whether a specific form of cancer, domestic abuse, heart disease, diabetes, MS, Parkinson, ALS, mental health, suicide, etc. Mine will be the semi colon which is where a sentence could have stopped, but continued on. Hoping no one stops before they should and they continue on with a beautiful life. Please light up our Sullivan area sky with more balloons than people have ever seen to honor our loved ones who have gone before us.
