In honor of Giving Tuesday, I wanted to add another iconic female to the Powerful Women Series. My new piece, "we can do it," is based on the original Rosie the... Riveter and was inspired by my strong belief that representation MATTERS. I wanted this work to showcase that all women deserve respect and fair treatment both in the workforce and at home. To me, Rosie the Riveter is a symbol of strength and female empowerment. The Women's Safe House in St. Louis, MO is an organization that is centered on these core values, providing assistance to endangered women through woman-defined advocacy.
