What a long, strange trip 2020 has been, but we made it through all of the year’s ups and downs pretty much unscathed. With this in mind, I wanted to say a few thank yous to the people that bring so much positivity and good will into my life. First off, Kyle, you are the rock. The foundation on which we first started this business venture almost 8 years ago. You never cease to amaze me, as I have watched you transform both artistically, spiritually and physically over the yea...rs. Continue to work your wonders, my friend and never stop growing. So proud to have you in my life. To Justin, if Kyle is the rock, then you, sir, are the pillar. Your willingness to serve as mentor to Alex and Melissa has helped to transform the shop and take us to a whole other level. Your contributions and selflessness have been a true blessing to me and I am thankful that you and Cassie have made The Washington Tattoo Collective part of your lives. Love you guys. To Shelbi, what a transformative year for you. A new mother to a beautiful child, a fiance who loves you, and a massive leap artistically. It’s been an honor to watch you work and develop your own style and vision. All of this and you are the sweetest, kindest person I know. To Melissa, I want to thank you for trusting me and coming to work with us at the shop. You have such drive and passion for tattooing and it shows in your every action. Your old school love for the work and your relentless drive to constantly improve has helped to reinvigorate the whole shop. All of this and we get to hang with Brien too! So happy for you as a couple! To Alex, I see so many bright things ahead of you in 2021. As the year has closed out, you have started to truly find yourself as a tattooist. I can see it in your work and the response of your clientele. Self doubt is the only thing that can hold you back, trust yourself and the world is yours. To Jeff, the man who holds it down. Just wanted to take a moment to announce that Jeff has been promoted to shop manager at TWTC. The man is a jack of all trades, IT issues, he's on it, printer problem, he fixed it, need an appointment booked, he's got the answers. Notice how clean the shop is, he is the reason.
