Take charge, make a plan, follow the plan. Re-evaluate the plan and change as needed. The Incident Commander is ultimately responsible for all people involved ...at an incident. The Chief is ultimately responsible for the functioning of the fire department at all times. Lack of respect and free-lancing should not be tolerated. Personal feelings have no place in the command structure. They should be dealt with at the firehouse in private. It seems everyone wants to be in charge but no one wants to be accountable. The Chief IS accountable and when people do as they wish it is the Chief that has to answer to the investigator and will be sued and possibly lose everything they have for no other reason than someone not following orders and or SOG's. End of soap box for today. See more
Members of TAVFD attended the "Stop the Bleed" class hosted by PPPVFD. DID YOU KNOW? Volunteer instructors and attendees are not compensated for their time and attend trainings like this to make our community a safer place because they care. Programs like this are offered to our volunteers free of charge, from time to time.... Thank you to all who participated last night!
Friday afternoon information The Ozark County Health Department has a total of 615*** COVID-19 cases to date of these Active: 95... Recovered cases: 503 Deaths: 17 Hospitalized: 2 ***We are aware that at times the total numbers that we report seem off. Please understand that during our contact tracing and case investigations we occasionally find that a case lives in another county and they are then transferred to that jurisdiction. We are working diligently to keep an accurate count for our county. *** If you have been tested for COVID-19, please help us and your close contacts from spreading COVID by doing the following: 1. Quarantine UNTIL you receive your test result. Quarantining keeps you from unknowingly spreading the virus to others and stops the chain. 2. If you are positive, isolate yourself from the rest of your household members as soon as possible for 10 days. Isolation from household members can prevent your family members from getting sick. 3. Let your close contacts know that you tested positive and ask them to quarantine for 10 days from their last exposure to you. Monitor for signs/symptoms: Cough, wheezing, fever, fatigue, shortness of breath, headache, sore throat, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, rash, runny nose. Stay home if you're sick. Stay healthy, Rhonda
