In response to an exposure notice, The Happy Greek will be temporarily closed as a preventative measure to instill a healthy environment for both staff and customers. We've heard that some like it hot, so we're finally introducing our own hot sauce -- free with any order on request! It's a housemade, medium spice, harissa-style sauce with lots of flavor and a Greek twist. (If you want extra spicy let us know and we can doctor it for you.)

Thank you so much for all your warm welcomes and support as we attempt to begin our reopening process. Due to the recent rise in the number of cases of COVID-19 in the immediate vicinity of Jackson County, we have decided to revise our hours of business. Our main concern is for the safety of our community, and we appreciate your understanding as we continue to evaluate the situation daily in our best efforts to protect our patrons and our staff. We are closely monitoring and following advice from the Center for Disease Control and the Kansas City Health Department regarding COVID-19, in addition to enacting our own proactive, precautionary measures as follows: + All common surfaces (counters, tables, booths, seats, doorknobs, handles, drink stations, restrooms) are cleaned and sanitized multiple times throughout t...he day, at intervals of 30 minutes to an hour. + The register pad surface is sanitized between each transaction, and the point of sale counter is sanitized regularly. + Pre-wrapped, disposable cutlery packets are available by request. + Our owner, Denise, is a professional registered nurse, with a current license, who practiced as an RN for 34 years. + We have reminded employees that, as always, if they become sick, they must stay home. + Our cleaning supplies are well stocked, and all staff have been briefed, trained, and refreshed on these measures. Celebrate spring with our new special Calamari Roll! Calamari served on a toasted ciabatta roll with our house-made spicy aioli, cucumber, onion, lemon, and parsley. We also have a calamari appetizer served with spicy aioli, lemon, and pepperoncini.
