This had me on the floor, today. Chills. Heartbreak. Hope. First I shared it with my husband and kids now I’m sharing it with you. Where is the Love? It’s in you and me and it’s time for us all to bring it.

We are asking the Liberty Community young and young at heart to meet us on Friday, Oct. 2nd at 11:00AM at Fairview Cemetery for a community meeting to express ...our concerns for the removal of the Confederate Monument. Bring mask and lawn chair for social distance. We all have stories we can share about this monument. This is our time to give voice to the injustice we have encountered over the years. See more

Many grew up walking to City Park as children, there was no way getting around or getting past the Confederate Soldier with his gun. Today we are making a path ...through this cemetary to get around, to get past and get through to the significance of the real meaning of liberty and justice for all. Meet us on Friday, October 2nd at 11:00AM at the Fairview Cemetery. Together we will stand. See more

It's a little late in posting, but the message is so uplifting that we didn't want to wait a year to share. This video Google Doodle, illustrated by Los Angeles-based guest artist Loveis Wise and narrated by actor and activist LeVar Burton, honors the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth. Give yourself a well-deserved break and enjoy the video -- click here https://youtu.be/GNEPwwv56DY
